Greetings, all!
As we get closer (two weeks!!!!) to this year’s event, we are excited to share information about the amazing crew who will be performing this year. If you haven’t been in the past, we incorporate performances throughout the speak-out session in order to provide breaks and opportunities to re-ground. This year we are so grateful to be joined by:

Jennifer Turnbull’s artistic practice is rooted in the belief that environmental & racial justice are inextricably linked, that Blackness and indigeneity are integral to the protection of the earth in the face of the ongoing genocide of all earthlings.
Based in a lifelong practice of training in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, and West African dance Jennifer has focused on site specific performance & experimental film within the context of natural bodies of water & their surrounding habitats for the past seven years, integrating written and spoken word, sound and projection. Turnbull has co-led the production of parades, live interactive performances & created movement for direct-action and protest, site-specific to city streets and parks with Spiral Q.
Turnbull’s practice as a cultural organizer uses participatory art making and presentation to center the expression of marginalized communities toward justice and collective liberation.
Under the moniker of Honeychile, Philadelphia-based musician, singer, and songwriter Becca Graham (she/they) explores themes of identity, relationships, and coming-of-age by taking on the roles of a hip-hop emcee and a jazz diva. With a mix of humor, vulnerability, and sass, Honeychile wishes to challenge listeners’ perceptions of the Black musical canon, following in the footsteps of giants past and present.
